Helen begins a passionate affair with a man who has no idea of her secret identity. When her lover falls victim to London’s dangerous underworld, Helen’s employer Sam calls in to protect her. Bingo, the owner of the guitar shop where Sam gets his weapons, is played by Rat Scabies, a member of the band The Damned. A story set in New York, written by Jem Finer and Shane McGowan, performed by The Pogues and Kirsty McCall. Black Pigeons ended up being a very solid spy thriller. I’m a huge fan of the genre, so I had high expectations for it, even though I was skeptical about Keira Knightley’s performance in this tough role, as she only weighs 45 kilograms when soaking wet. I was wrong. She killed him. The same goes for Ben Whishaw, who also looks like he weighs 100 pounds. Both were completely believable in their roles. I had a blast watching and watched all six episodes over the weekend. I was hooked as soon as I started watching. I’m glad they’re planning a second season because one isn’t enough. I want to see more of these characters and the world they’ve built here… One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of the biggest premieres on TV and streaming this month.
